About Us
Come Home to Your Body
Meet Maya Soto
My journey with yoga began when I was 18 years old. From the very first practice, something deep within me recognized that yoga would become my life path.
What started as a personal exploration slowly unfolded into a calling, not only to practice yoga, but to share its wisdom with others.
Over the years, yoga became much more than movement. It became a way of understanding the body, the mind, and the deeper connection we hold with life itself. The teachings of yoga philosophy showed me that the body is not something to control or fix, but something to listen to and honor.
Through my own journey of practice, study, and healing, I became deeply passionate about nervous system regulation and embodied awareness. I believe that when we feel safe and regulated in our bodies, we access our true power. From that space, we can respond to life with clarity, presence, and compassion rather than reacting from survival patterns.
My work integrates yoga, conscious breathwork, and sound healing to support others in reconnecting with their bodies and remembering the wisdom that already lives within them.
The heart of my teaching is simple:
The body holds profound intelligence.
When we learn to listen, it becomes our greatest guide.
Through Om Yogita Healing Yoga School, I offer yoga classes, healing experiences, transformational programs, and a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training designed to share the deeper philosophy and embodiment of yoga.
My intention is not just to teach yoga poses.
My intention is to support others in remembering how to live yoga, discovering tools of self-regulation to live fully, empowered & abundant
With love,
Maya
